There will be an onboarding call (not an interview :) so we can get you set up with all the tools you need to make this happen!

Who We Look For

An excited (or wannabe) leader who cares. They care so much about the world around them that their goal is to use Outdoors Club as a medium to help bring their community resources and tangible activities for self-prioritization. They want to show the people they know and the people they have yet to know that whether they believe in the importance of their bodies or not, getting outside is the best way to take care of it.

About Us

The Outdoors Club is driven to help improve the lives of students around the world through the creation of a community that motivates them to take a break from their lives, get outside, and connect with nature. We meet to discuss our outdoor experiences and plan ones with each other in an effort to connect with nature. With the amount of work given to students along with the recent worldwide conditions, mental pressure is at its peak. Students deserve to take a mental break from their lives, one which does not include social media, and rejuvenate themselves. Our goal is to help students do just that. We do this for ourselves and ourselves only, because we matter, and we deserve to prioritize our wellbeing. We encourage anyone and everyone to join a chapter at your school or start one, be it in your school or your community!

Your Impact

When you create a chapter you do a number of things. Not only do you help support a healthy future for your community, but you help them prioritize their health and you inspire them. And if you aren’t the best at getting outside, creating a chapter will get you to become a participant in your own club, helping you in doing wonderful things for yourself.

City vs. School Chapter

Honestly it's all up to preference. A school chapter generally gets the validity of being school associated and it typically easier to grow. On the con, it limits the audience you can reach.

A city chapter provides plenty of opportunities to grow but it is a harder to reach audience.

If you'd like to make a city chapter, you have to keep in mind it would be a bit more difficult for approval as people might want to create school chapters in your city as well depending on the demand.

Either way works for us, though! We'll work with you to make everything possible.

Is there anything you require?

Honestly... not much! Here are a couple things we like to see...

A dedicated chapter leader who joins monthly chapter all-hands meetings who is committed to the betterment of their community. Officers of their chapter need to commit ~1 hr to managing the chapter and supporting its growth. The chapter leaders must be communicative and willing to work with the Outdoors Club team in pursuit of organizational level goals as well as be responsive when it comes to filling out any paperwork (there's little to none) or information asked of them.

With Outdoors Club you have the ability to make a mass amount of impact in front of a huge amount of people. The work you'll do as a chapter will change lives and do a lot for people in your community.

Resources

We built Outdoors Club to be a chapter driven organization not because we got anything from it, but because we wanted to help everyone else around the world create chapters and foster these experiences without having to make the same mistakes we made. Our chapter infrastructure is extremely helpful and it has been created in aims to help you in every single way possible. As an executive team we are also very responsive and will work with you to accomplish anything you want to see accomplished by your chapter as a whole.

Individuality

While you are part of Outdoors Club as a chapter, you are still a separate chapter. You get to choose what your chapter focuses on because it is you and your members' chapter. We built this for you, and we intend on letting you decide exactly what you want to get out of this experience!

Connections

The moment you decide to create your chapter you and your members are immediately given access to a worldwide Outdoors Club community in which people can share photos, events, and different experiences that they all have.

Recognition

We, at the Outdoors Club, run two monthly "competitions." One is for the Chapter of the Month and the other Member of the Month. Winning such accolades puts you in the spotlight when it comes to our social media stations as well as our other platforms. This puts you in a higher regard for access to partnerships as well as special consideration when it comes to big features and opportunities for your chapter as well.
